PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI SATUAN PANJANG MELALUI PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK PADA SISWA KELAS III MI MIFTAHUL FIQHIYYAH GRESIK
This study aims to describe the activities and results of Learning Mathematics in Unit Length material in grade 3 students of MI Miftahul Fiqhiyyah Gresik through realistic mathematics approach. Grade 3 students of MI Miftahul Fiqhiyyah Driyorejo Gresik have difficulty in working on long unit questions, especially if the questions given have different patterns than the questions exemplified by the teachers on the board. The realistic mathematical learning approach connects matter with real life and shows that mathematics is part of human activity in life. This type of research is Class Action Research through 2 cycles. Data collection techniques used are observations, tests, and questionnaires of student responses. This research was conducted through 2 cycles. The Realistic Mathematics Learning Approach is implemented with the following steps: 1. Understanding contextual problems, 2. Solving contextual problems, 3. Comparing and discussing answers, and 4. Drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' activities in following mathematics learning reached a percentage of 87.62% in cycle I and increased to 95.62% in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes showed an average score of 74.9 in the first cycle and increased to 85.2 in the second cycle with the criteria for achieving KKM. The results of the questionnaire of students' response to realistic mathematics learning in unit length material showed a percentage of 86.25% in the first cycle and increased to 90.89% in the second cycle with excellent category. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of realistic mathematical approaches in mathematics learning of Unit Panjang materials can improve the learning outcomes of grade III students of MI Miftahul Fiqhiyyah Gresik.
